Discover the Artistry of Encaustic Cement Tiles at Marrakech Design

At Marrakech Design, we are proud to present our exquisite range of encaustic cement tiles, a testament to timeless craftsmanship and aesthetic elegance. Our tiles, known for their robustness and captivating designs, are not just any tiles; they’re a piece of history, handcrafted by dedicated craftsmen, following a rich tradition originated in southern France in the late 19th century.

Our commitment to traditional craftsmanship is evident in the way we produce our encaustic cement tiles. Each tile is a product of meticulous handiwork, crafted using metallic molds and a hydraulic press. The process begins with a carefully selected blend of raw materials – Portland cement, fine sand, marble powder, and water. To this mixture, we add rich, vibrant color pigments, creating an array of stunning hues. Unlike ceramic tiles, our cement tiles are not fired in a kiln. Instead, they gain their remarkable strength and durability through a curing process, which solidifies and enhances their inherent beauty. This method not only preserves the traditional essence of tile-making but also ensures each piece is unique and of the highest quality.

The color palette we offer is nothing short of stunning. From serene shades of blue, grey, and white to the earthy tones of green and beige, complemented by the boldness of black, our collection is designed to cater to diverse aesthetic preferences. Collaborating with some of Scandinavian’s most renowned architects and designers, we ensure that each tile reflects a blend of artistic vision and practical durability.

We take pride in our extensive range of handmade cement tiles, including the traditional Bejmat & Zellige tiles. The charm of our encaustic cement tiles lies in their unique manufacturing process, where the pattern emerges from pigmented cement meticulously poured into molds and pressed using manual hydraulic presses. This method not only guarantees a stunning surface design but also imbues each tile with a distinct character and authenticity.

We invite you to explore our collections and envision the transformation of your space. Embrace the beauty and durability of Marrakech Designs encaustic cement tiles, and let us help you make a statement that resonates with elegance and tradition.
