Please note that these Zellige tiles have a completely raw surface.
This means they are not glazed and are therefore more sensitive to stains and wear. Impregnation can provide some protection, but the main idea with this raw terracotta tile is that it will, over time, develop a natural patina and age beautifully.
This tile is ideal if you appreciate character and living surfaces. However, if you prefer to avoid changes in the surface, this may not be the right choice for you.
Technical information
Zellige (zilij) is handmade clay tiles that is glazed and kiln fired, each tile is unique in both shape and colour. The tiles are hand-molded and hand-cut which and splinters will appear from the glaze. Zellige tiles are uneven in structure and thickness, no two Zellige tiles are exactly the same.When the tiles are put in placed and grouted will each tiles imperfection provide the final result with a unique and beautiful appearance.
Zellige tiles are not perfect and never will be. These tiles are suitable for you whom love and appreciate the natural beauty that these tiles offer.

Care instructions for Marrakech tiles
Impregnate the tiles before and after grouting, and top up the protection as needed (about once a year or when the surface feels unprotected).
Clean with mild, pH-neutral soap/detergent and wipe up spills immediately.
Avoid acids and strong agents such as vinegar, lemon, grout cleaner, bleach and hair dye – they can cause permanent stains.
